H2O: Just Add Water is a live-action drama series created by Jonathan M. Shiff.
Show Description[]
For Emma, Cleo and Rikki, growing up on the sundrenched coast of Australia has its perks: the beach, the boys and lots of cool new places to explore. But with adventure comes danger, and the girls find themselves stranded on the mysterious Mako Island. To leave the island, they must swim through an underwater channel, and as they enter the water, the full moon illuminates the channel with a strange glow. Relieved to escape the island, the girls return to their normal lives...but quickly realize that life will never be the same again. The girls soon discover that whenever water touches them, they turn into mermaids! As mermaids, the girls have strange new powers over water...but everyday situations, like showering and rainstorms, have turned tricky. Together with their loyal friend Lewis, Emma, Cleo and Rikki resolve to live normal teenage lives. But it's hard to be normal when you're a part-time mermaid! — TeenNick.com (seasons 1-2 description)
Cleo and Rikki are about to face their last year of high school without Emma, who has gone overseas. Together with Lewis, they're confident they know everything there is to know about Mako Island. But when water attacks the girls on a full moon, they realize a new, potentially dangerous force is developing on the mysterious island, and a boy with freakish free-diving skills who stumbles upon the Moon Pool could hold the key to understanding the powerful energy...Thankfully they find a new ally in Bella, the new girl in town who reveals an equally surprising twist: she too is a mermaid with extraordinary super powers. Together, the new trio face phenomenal challenges as they discover the dark secrets of Mako Island, form new relationships and realize their destiny as mermaids. — TeenNick.com (season 3 description)
